tick tock – wine o’clock is back!
after a 2-year hiatus SOUL is excited to bring back the celebration of our favourite fruit over 4 super wine showcases this september.
we’ll start with a tribute to wonderful women winemakers from around the world, then visit nz’s oldest wine producing region to discover a fully organic vineyard that flies under the radar. we’ll finish with a journey down the road-less-travelled with some unusual varieties you may not have heard of (much less tasted!), and to top it off, you’ll be invited to experience a very special wine event in collaboration with one of the only two 2-hat winery restaurants in new zealand. your winecrush starts at SOUL.
calendar of events:
wine wonder women – wednesday 6th september
we’re travelling around the globe to meet 5 women making waves in the wine world. we’ll visit france, california, south australia, and (in new zealand) marlborough and central otago, tasting along the way rosé, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir, and shiraz. presented by our very own bailey mullin alongside naomi harris from procure wines, these sisters are doing it for themselves!
wine is cool – wednesday 13th september
grillo, cremant, frappato – no, not european football players but grape varieties that you possibly haven’t heard of before (let alone tasted). well, here’s your chance! we’ll compare a deliciously light white with expressions from spain and new zealand – who does it better? we’ll pop the cork on a cheeky little french bubbly that’s high-quality but low price. and we’ll debate the chilled red question – do we, or don’t we? presented by john meehan from red & white cellars who will astound you with his vast vinous knowledge and his wicked sense of humour. wine is not only cool but also fun!
craggy range x SOUL – wednesday 20th september (save the date)
the winery of the year 2023 x the viaduct icon. two chefs, two award-winning hatted restaurants, one fabulous dinner. tickets on sale next week!
